Student Volunteer & Job Opportunities

Applications are open for the 2026–2027 Wisconsin Office of School Safety Student Advisory Committee. This is a great leadership opportunity for high school students to share perspectives, give feedback on safety initiatives, and help build a welcoming, supportive culture in schools statewide.

Encourage thoughtful, responsible Wisconsin high schoolers to apply. View and download the application online and email completed forms to schoolsafety@wisdoj.gov. The deadline to apply is October 1, 2026.

Any students in need of volunteer service hours over the summer, please consider reaching out to Family Sharing.  They can go on the website and fill out a volunteer form, or they can email them directly.

Friends@Home pairs two teenage volunteers with a special friend (child with disabilities) for an hour-long visit in their home every other Sunday.

About Friendship Circle

Friendship Circle is a non-profit organization. Our goal is to provide every individual with disabilities or in isolation the support friendship and inclusion that they deserve.

What we do

Friendship Circle provides assistance and support to 3,000 individuals with disabilities and their families by providing recreational, social, educational and vocational programming. In addition to helping those in need, the Friendship Circle enriches its vast network of volunteers by enabling them to reap the rewards of selfless giving.Friendship Circle also provides support to individuals and families struggling with isolation, addiction and other family-related crises.

Our Mission

Friendship Circle creates friendship in the lives of individuals with disabilities and those facing isolation while providing an opportunity to become a contributing member of the community. Through our programming, Friendship Circle aims to promote an inclusive community that values all individuals regardless of the challenges they face.

We are looking for volunteer students to help support our Young Rembrandts classes in the local elementary schools. Volunteers would support our instructors with passing out papers, organizing, supporting students with drawing, and collecting materials when class is finishing. 

Prospective volunteers will receive more details after submitting the form. If you decide to volunteer, we ask that you commit to one 8 week session at one day per week.
